Design Engineering Workshop 2006

DTU afholdt 19.-20. oktober en workshop med deltagelse fra en række europæiske, amerikanske og sydamerikanske uddannelsesinstitutioner. Temaet for workshoppen var retableringen af den kreative praksis i ingeniørfaget. Nedenfor er gengivet programmet med mulighed for at downloade præsentationerne.   3. How great the need for integration and eventual reform of the teaching of math, the basic natural sciences, and engineering science components in design engineering programs?

  1. Challenges for design engineering program concerning coordination, staff experiences and the integration of knowledge and experiences from different technological domains.
  2. Design strategies and perspectives in relation to growth in consumption and the consequences for material and energy usage posing environmental challenges to technology and society.
  3. Design in relation to people in the developing world – bottom of the pyramid and the new types of idealistic engagements.
